The Guilford County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association's 14th
Annual Gardening Gala and Seminar
 Gardening Outside the Box; What's Hot in Your Garden? will focus on the latest trends in gardening, vertical and rooftop gardens, replacing turf grass with moss, and use of herbs and native plants in unconventional ways, all permeated by a Growing Communities theme.
Speakers will be Doug Elliott, author, naturalist, herbalist, storyteller, and harmonica wizard from Union Mills, NC; Erik Healy, horticulturalist and day-to-day operations manager at Moore Farms Botanical Garden in Lake City, SC; David Spain, Mossologist and owner of Moss and Stone Gardens in Raleigh, NC; and Debbie Roos, extension agent for Chatham County and founder of a Pollinator's Paradise garden at the Chatham Market.
Specialty vendors will offer plants and garden-related products for sale.
The cost is $45, which includes all seminars, morning refreshments, lunch, gift bags and more.
